AFTERBIRTH, stories you won’t read in parenting magazines, Live Show 6/26

by leeroseemery on June 25, 2010

If you are looking for a great, fun evening out this weekend, you should check out the Afterbirth Season Finale. If you haven’t already heard, Afterbirth is a live storytelling evening conceived by stand up comic Dani Klein. Each show features well-known writers and actors performing their own parenting stories. The show has been playing to sold out audiences for 6 years in LA. I am reading the anthology, Afterbirth, a collection of pieces that were performed live in past Afterbirth performances, which was recently published by St Martin’s Press. It’s true, you would NOT find these stories in a parenting magazine; they are far too honest and hilarious – which makes them so much fun to read. I know the live show will be terrific. Plus, M Bar is a cool and intimate venue for a show, and a date night. So call your sitter, and make a reservation.
