Community Crafting and Creativity at THE ACE HOTEL

by Lee Rose Emery

I feel like I am a better mom when I travel with my kids, even if it is just for a weekend. Somehow being outside our every day environment makes us us zero in on, and appreciate each other’s company. Some of my fondest family memories of being with my kids are in random places, most of which involved a night or two away from the daily grind. Community Crafting weekend at The Ace Hotel promises to be a blast for everyone.

I have already written about how terrific and cool The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is for a great family getaway from LA.  But the events that the creative folks from Kimmel Kids and Splendid have planned for the weekend of October 9th and 10th at  Ace sound truly extraordinary.

Karen Kimmel, from Kimmel Kids, Stacy Bernstein & Tait Chatmon from Kid Concierge, Clare Crespo from Yummy Clare and Yunnie Morena from Fred Segal Couture are the LACityMoms’s behind the idea.  Their goal was to “create a getaway that encourages families to slow down, and spend highly enriched quality time together.” Isn’t that exactly what we all need?
