Yamishiro Farmer’s Market – a great family treat

by Lee Rose Emery

My new favorite family treat is to go to the Yamishiro Farmer’s Market for dinner on Thursday nights from 5pm-9pm.  It’s $5.00 to valet park, and it does become crowded as the night goes on, so I recommend you bring the kids right at 5pm. There are all kinds of food booths the kids will love The Best of the Wurst is a great bratwurst stand my kids love and there are also delicious sliders, tacos and quesadillas. There’s live music and local artesian selling their goods. The view up there is one of the best in the city overlooking Hollywood, and the vibe at the market is so festive and relaxing that you feel as if you are bringing in the weekend a day early. Bring a sweater, as it gets breezy when the sun starts to set over the city.
